Privacy practices for MineSweeperSolverFromImage, a free Minesweeper screenshot solver that does not require accounts or payments.

Last updated: 2026-07-01

Overview

MineSweeperSolverFromImage ("the Site", "we", "us") is a free tool available at http://minesweepersolverfromimage.com/. It helps users analyze Minesweeper screenshots, review an editable board, and calculate suggested moves.

The Site is designed to work without an account, subscription, payment, newsletter, or user profile. We do not ask you to provide your name, email address, billing details, or other account information to use the solver.

What You Provide When Using the Solver

You may upload or select a Minesweeper screenshot and enter board settings such as rows, columns, and mine count. This information is used to produce the board transcription, probability map, and move recommendation you requested.

You should crop screenshots to the game board and avoid uploading images that contain personal, sensitive, confidential, or third-party private information.

AI Image Analysis

When AI screenshot analysis is used, the screenshot and related request parameters are transmitted to our server-side processing environment and AI processing provider solely to generate the requested board analysis. We do not use uploaded screenshots to create user profiles, sell data, or build a history of your games.

The Site does not intentionally store uploaded screenshots, recognized board states, or AI outputs as persistent user records. Requests are processed ephemerally for the current interaction. Cloud hosting and security systems may still create transient technical logs needed to operate, secure, debug, and prevent abuse of the service.

Information We Do Not Collect

The current public Site does not require or intentionally collect:

  • account registration details;
  • names, email addresses, phone numbers, or billing addresses;
  • payment card or subscription information;
  • user profiles, saved games, or account history;
  • advertising identifiers for behavioral advertising.

Technical Data

Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure may process limited technical data such as IP address, user agent, request URL, timestamps, error information, and rate-limit or abuse-prevention signals. We use this only to deliver the Site, keep it secure, diagnose problems, and prevent misuse.

The Site may use strictly necessary local browser storage or cookies for basic operation, such as language preference. We do not use this information to identify you personally.

Cookies and Tracking

We do not use advertising cookies or sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. If optional analytics or support tools are enabled in the future, we will update this Policy before using them in a way that materially changes our data practices.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data only when necessary to:

  • provide hosting, security, AI processing, and related infrastructure for the requested service;
  • comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable government requests;
  • protect the Site, users, or the public from fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for a free browser-based tool, including encrypted transport where supported by the deployment environment, access controls, and service abuse protections. No Internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

Data Retention

We do not maintain user accounts or stored screenshot histories. Uploaded screenshots and board inputs are intended to be processed only for the current request. Transient technical logs, if generated by hosting or security infrastructure, are retained only as needed for operations, security, debugging, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.

Your Choices and Rights

Because the Site does not maintain user accounts or stored screenshot histories, there may be no personal account record for us to access, export, correct, or delete. You can control what you upload by cropping screenshots and avoiding personal information. You can also clear local browser storage or cookies through your browser settings.

If you believe you have submitted personal information or have a privacy request, contact us through any contact channel made available on the Site. We will respond where we have enough information to identify the relevant record, if any exists.

Children's Privacy

The Site is a general-purpose Minesweeper utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Site after an update means the revised Policy applies.
